when that Thailand has become a land of degustation menu? I guess it’s just something that happened when we have loads of aspiring young chefs looking for a way to showcase their new cooking. Take Saawaan, for example, a new addition to Thai fine-dining that only offers a tasting menu of Thai food, interpreted by the two young female and very interesting Thai chefs. The restaurant is located in Soi Suanplu, just off Sathorn Road. Or Sathorn Soi 3, roughly about half way between BTS Chong Nonsee and MRT Lumpini. Or if you drive, parking (free two hours, Bt30 for each extra hour) is available at the nearby Somerset Park Suan Plu apartment...

(âŽïļāļ āļēāļĐāļēāđāļāļĒāļāđāļēāļāļĨāđāļēāļâŽïļ) the Beaten Path, And Into a Historical Valley. It has become our mission of late to spend our weekends exploring our very own native city (born and bred, no less). We have always dreaded Bangkok’s nasty ridiculous traffic that always holds us back from going places like we actually wanted to. But after some successful planning, here we are, getting the most out of each day by grouping together the places that we want to do and do it all in one whole day. So the whole of our last Saturday went like this: morning at this gorgeous Bangkhunprom Palace, lunching at Krua Apsorn, and...
I am not an adventurous eater, so Phnom Penh’s famous street foods are off limits for me. But somehow, when we were in Phnom Penh twice last time, we had such a blast eating away their delicious local foods. As anyone would tell you, Phnom Penh is a capital in rapid transition. From a quick ‘in-and-out’ place where people come in, get their business done, and leave as soon as they can, PNH is becoming a destination on its own. And that I am glad, because I’m kinda fond of the place for its unique charms, and that increasing popularity of the capital is being proven by the increasing numbers of cool places to eat...
