'Small Sandy Beach' or 'Had Lek' is deemed a hidden gem in Phang Nga. It is a part of Khao Lak - Lam Ru National Park and it is covered on both sides by high cliffs. This blog and video show you the whole walking trail from the entrance (which is not the park's main entrance), all the way to the beach.

Khanom Chin or fermented rice noodle is a staple throughout Thailand. But in the south, they do it with a spectacular fanfare, with a table brimmed with assorted vegetables as side trimmings. A delicious rite of passage if you are in the area.
Similan Islands are part of Mo Ko Similan National Park in Phang Nga that was established back in 1982 before including Ko Ta Chai in 1998. The annual tourism season to the archipelago begins in October throughout May each year, before being closed in other months for restoration during the monsoon season.
Our post COVID-19 lockdown trip was to the south of Thailand. With so many things to do on the list, we decided to do nothing much once we arrived in Phang Nga.
