Recently, I found myself going back to Bangkok Old Town, or the Rattanakosin Island, a lot. I think this is because I have come full circle, and my accumulative readings brought new lights to things I grew up with. Nai Lert Park Heritage Home was built in 1915 as an out-of-town retreat for Nai Lert Sresthaputra or Phraya Bhakdinorasresth and his family. A lot of stories can be learnt from this house. After all, Nai Lert was bestowed the royal title of Phraya Bhakdinorasresth by King Rama VI for his and his wife's generosity and public services. The title means the 'Beloved Millionaire.'
